This nonprofit organization seeks to help abused children in Texas by improving the quality of legal services they receive from court-appointed attorneys. They provide access to a complete child abuse online law library, communication services for attorneys, an expert exchange network to connect attorneys with experts in the field, a pro-bono attorney network, and training for judges, attorneys and others.

The Family Helpline is staffed by lawyers who can provide legal information and education regarding CPS (Child Protective Services) issues. They can provide information regarding CPS investigations, service plans, legal terms, kinship care, what to expect in court, and other related topics. It is a project of the Texas Legal Services Center, the Texas Children's Commission, the Children's Justice Act, and the Texas Access to Justice Foundation. The Houston Area Women's Center offers services for children who have been victims or witnesses of crime and who are going through court proceedings. Services include information, support, and courtroom accompaniment. Services are free of charge.
