The Texas Digital Archive has scanned versions of the original general and special session laws from the Republic of Texas (1836-1845) and the State of Texas (1846-1884). Other years may be uploaded as they are digitized.
The Legislative Reference Library's Legislative Archive System allows users to view the text, and often times complete bill file, of bills introduced by the Texas Legislature. This is an ongoing project and not all information is available at present. To view a chart of what information is available for a given year, see the project status page. The advanced search will allow users to search for bills by keyword.
The Texas Legislature's website provides bills from the 71st Regular Session (1991) to the present. Information available includes bill history with actions, amendments, companions, and the text of the bill.
