What is HeinOnline?

HeinOnline is a legal database with more than 70 million pages of legal history available in an online, fully-searchable, image-based format. It includes comprehensive coverage of more than 1,600 law and law-related periodicals.

Journals & Periodicals

Law Journal Library — HeinOnline Contains more than 2,500 law and law-related periodicals. Subjects covered include criminal justice, political science, technology, human rights, and more. Coverage for all journals is from inception and goes through the most currently published issues allowed based on contracts with publishers.

State Content

Subject Compilations of State Laws (1960-2018) — HeinOnline This library features a database giving you access to more than 26,000 bibliographic records from Cheryl Nyberg's Subject Compilations of State Laws series. Many records contain extensive annotations with links directly to articles and other documents residing in HeinOnline. In addition to a searchable database, HeinOnline also includes the exact replicas of the original bound volumes.

Code of Federal Regulations — HeinOnline Comprehensive coverage of the CFR containing more than 8,500 volumes dating back to inception in 1938.
Early American Case Law — HeinOnline Contains the entire Federal Cases 30 book series (1894-1897) which contains more than 20,000 cases. Also included is the Trinity Series, which includes American Decisions, American Reports, and American State Reports.
Federal Register Library — HeinOnline The Federal Register is updated on a daily basis. Its coverage is comprehensive and begins in 1936.
Manual of Patent Examining Procedure — HeinOnline This manual is published to provide U.S. Patent and Trademark Office examiners, applicants, attorneys, agents, and representatives of applicants with a reference work on the practices and procedures relative to the prosecution of patent applications before the USPTO.
